FAQ
›Is AWOnline free?
Yes, completely: no ads and nothing to buy. It is a non-commercial fan game.
›Do I have to play my turn right away?
Not in normal games: play when you like, and you get a bell, push or email alert when it is your turn. Ranked and live games use a clock (5 minutes plus 2 per turn).
›How does ranked play work?
Pick a ladder (standard, fog or high funds) and find a match; you are paired with someone near your rating. Seasons last a month. Unrated live matches use the same queue without changing your rating.
›What is a dodge?
Losing a queue game by day 2, usually by resigning or letting the clock run out at once. Three in a day keep you out of the queue for 30 minutes.
›Can I play against the computer?
Yes. When you make a game, set any seat to Computer (easy, normal or hard). The campaign and daily challenge are against the computer too.
›Can I import maps?
Yes: Maps → Import a map, then paste the map's link, number or tile numbers. It arrives as your draft to check before publishing.
›How do I practise a map?
Open the map and press Try this map. You play every army yourself; nothing is saved.
›Where do the numbers come from?
Damage, the damage formula, luck and unit stats follow the original Advance Wars games. The Gunboat is our own extra unit.
›Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Install it from Settings → Install AWOnline to play full screen with turn alerts.
›I forgot my password.
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page; a reset link is sent to your email.
